We’ve heard it said that the sequel will be “MAMA and the PAPI,” but we didn’t have a name for it.
Here’s what else we know about the film: It stars Matt Damon as the ape, who is voiced by Adam Driver.

The film was co-produced by Legendary Pictures and Warner Bros. Entertainment, which will release the film on August 26, 2018, in theaters.
Directed by Guillermo del Toro, the movie stars Matt Smith, Michael Peña, Olivia Wilde, James Franco, Lupita Nyong’o, Andy Serkis, Cillian Murphy, and Kate Mara.
Legendary Pictures also will produce the film, with David S. Goyer producing and Mark Gordon producing.
