Amusements park operator, Amuse Entertainment, will expand its amusement park in the country’s second biggest city of Chennai, according to a report.
According to a statement by the company, the company will be extending its existing theme park in Chennai to 5 million seats, with the new venue being built in the company’s brand new resort.
It is part of a Rs 25 crore resort development that will be undertaken by the new resort, which will be built in partnership with the city’s Central Government.
According the report, the new hotel will have two different zones.
The first zone will cater to the entertainment of children, while the second will cater for adults, who can access the area through a special lift.
The resort will be the second in a new theme park expansion in Chennai after Amuse City, which is being built to cater to a much larger group of guests.
The company plans to open the first phase of the project in 2019.
The expansion is being funded by the State Government of Tamil Nadu.
The company, which operates two amusement parks in the city, has also opened a third amusement park at its existing park, in Puducherry.
The project, however, was cancelled due to the ongoing monsoon.
